Have the baby shower host provide the Puj Bathing tub. Have all of the guests bring an item that you would use to bathe your newborn baby, such as: no tears baby bath, lotions, soft wash cloths & baby towels. You can also throw in diapers & wipes.

A lot of people are concerned about having a baby shower for their second child (or third or fourth). This is especially true when the children are very close in age. My idea works for this case, and also works great for a work related baby shower.
Diapers and Dinners: Host a shower to celebrate the new arrival and ask only that attendees bring one of two things; A pack of diapers or a freezable dinner (preferably home-made). The investment is little but the gifts are very useful for new parents.

best baby shower idea ever!!!
Our friends didn’t know if they were having a boy or girl, so we had a “Bee” themed shower for “What will it Bee?” (And their last name started with a B too!) There are a bunch of pictures of it here: http://jackandmandy.blogspot.com/2009/03/its-baby-shower-day.html
I put together a “booklet” of the games that we would be playing for my sisters’ baby shower. Rather than handing out papers that are hard to write on (due to having to find a hard surface to lean on), I printed the games to large index cards and put 2 hole punches in the top of each card. Then I used pretty ribbons to tie the cards together. Each guest was handed a pen and a packet. They could play the icebreaker games throughout the shower, then untie the ribbons and drop each of the cards into the appropriate paper bag (labeled with the game titles) for drawing winners from.
I got many compliments and was asked a few times to help put these together for other showers.

I’m going to be helping to throw a shower for my cousin who is due in October. I love the idea of hosting a baby shower tea party, with the theme being “The perfect blend of (insert mom and dads names)”, with little tea packet favors with the saying on it. The award winning baby shower cake featured in the gourmet gifts section of the shop looks perfect for the occasion!!
This was the best thing ever when I had my shower. The host had a diaper raffle and got some chocolate, wine, other yummy things as prizes. It was indicated on the invitation to bring a pack of diapers if you wanted to enter the raffle. This worked so well that I didn’t have to buy diapers until after my baby turned 4 months old! I couldn’t believe it.
I would say the best Baby Shower Idea I have is “Just Hatched”. You could have a baby shower after the baby is born to show everyone you new bundle of joy that “Just Hatched”. Would be great if you were having a baby before Easter. It works great with our last name, Hatch. We have used “Just Hatched” allot in some of our things and clothes. This is a great giveaway. Would love to win this. I am due with Baby #3 in Febraury 2011.
With this Baby Shower I would incorporate products from Happy Mama Gifts with the “6 Month Gift of the Month”, “Mamma Mio Congratualations Kit”,”Handprint Wall Art Set” and “Puj Tub”.
At the last two baby showers I have thrown the “guest favourite” game is always the onsie and/or bib decorating contest. You buy a value pack (or 2!) of bibs or onsies, provide some fabric paint, and let your guests go nuts. I like to find a place where I can hang a string and some clothes pins so the finished products can be on display. The mom-to-be picks her favourites for prizes, and she gets some very useful and personalized things to use for the baby.
I also like to buy a piggy bank shped like a bottle and fill it with baby socks. Provide a paper for each guest to guess the number of socks in the bottle – closest guess wins! Mom-to-be gets all the socks and a bank for baby, so everyone wins! Bonus – I got the socks at the dollar store and the mom swears those socks fit better than any others!
